Kerry thinks Americans are sleeping

According to Reuters, Kerry has taken to yelling at Americans to "wake up."

"Wake up America, wake up. ... You have a choice," he said. "This election is a choice between four more years of tax giveaways for millionaires along with a higher tax burden on the middle class."

Somehow, accusing Americans of being asleep doesn't strike me as being a particularly effective method of persuasion.

Bin Laden trying to affect election outcome?

Fox News has a banner up announcing that Al-Jazeera will air a Bin Laden Videotape at 4 p.m. EDT. Is there anyway Kerry can't be nervous about this?

Anything Bin Laden says will be viewed by the American electorate as meddling in our affairs. Thus, Bin Laden will have demonstrated his complete misunderstanding of American democracy. Though we Americans fight amongst ourselves like adolescent brothers, there is no way we'll permit anyone else to enter the fray.

Kerry not honorably discharged

Powerline is citing a Swift Boat Vets assertion that a former Secretary of the Navy, exactly which one isn't specified, says that Kerry did receive an Other Than Honorable Discharge from the Navy.

Kerry a poor role model

This man wants to be President, a role model for our children? There are a couple of things wrong with this picture:

1. Why isn't he wearing his helmet? If he wants to cut down on health-care costs, he should consider the costs in treating brain injuries that result from not wearing a helmet while bicycling.

2. While not illegal yet in Arizona, many states are moving towards banning cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. Many states make motor vehicle laws applicable to bicycles.
