Election Day Reminders

Michael Totten, posting on Instapundit.com, has some great points everyone should read but especially these people.

Daschle's lawyers should be sanctioned

Under rule 11(b)(3) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, any lawyer, upon signing any pleadings, motions and other papers, represents to the court that "the allegations and other factual contentions have evidentiary support. . . ."

Clearly, Daschles complaint didn't have a shred of evidentiary support. If I were Thune, I'd motion for sanctions as payback for wasting my time.

Drudge Reports are False

KYW is reporting that Drudge's reports of voting machines with votes already on them are false.

The machines that someone questioned have an indicator that shows how many times the unit has been used.

Philly reports an early 2,000 vote lead

Drudge is reporting that nearly 2,000 votes (no indication who for) were found planted on voting machines before the polls opened this morning. As if that weren't enough, Drudge is also reporting a gun was flashed at a polling location.

However, no local news outlets are reporting this yet. Stand by.

Hollywood "elites" threaten to leave

In a fine example of Hollywood liberal eliteism, Canada's National Post reports many stars, have declared their intention to leave the US should Bush win re-election.

In my mind, this is tantamount to leaving the playground because your team is losing. Sore losers.

You know what, fine, leave your passport behind, please take Michael Moore with you and don't come back. You're not worthy of being called an American.

MoveOn.org testing legal limits

Scott Johnson of Powerline is reporting that MoveOn.org is "testing the limits of legal behavior at polling places" in Minnesota.

Note to Usama

Living in the solidly Democratic state of New Jersey, there isn't much risk that Usama Bin Laden will target New Jersery for voting for Bush. Therefore, I want to be sure that he knows that I voted for Bush.

UPDATE: If you too would like Bin Laden to know who you voted for, feel free to leave a comment. I doubt he reads this blog but you never know.

Daschle should be ashamed

I exercised my civic duty this morning. Now, there is nothing for me to do except wait for the voice of the rest of my fellow citizens to speak. While I hope the vote calculus works out to 270 or more electoral votes for George W. Bush, I will accept the collective wisdom of my fellow Americans if Kerry winds up being my president.

My most fervent wish now is that the will of the American people not be obstructed by ridiculous tactics such as Tom Daschle attempted last night in South Dakota.

Where is everybody?

Lots of reports in the blogosphere of long lines as polls open up this morning. I voted at 6:30 this morning (polls open in New Jersey at 6:00) and there was no line.
