Runaway Bride

Earlier, I said I thought that the husband-to-be would be found out to be involved somehow in his fiance's disappearance.

I was wrong. It turns out she had a frigid case of cold feet and wound up in New Mexico via  Las Vegas.

It will be interesting to see if he now still wants to go through with the wedding. If I were him, I'd say see ya you psycho bitch.

Scott Peterson Redux

Call me a cynic but post Scott Peterson I can't help but think the husband-to-be had something to do with his fiance's disappearance.

I hope I'm wrong but, sadly, I fear I'm not.

Hero of the Week

A western Pennsylvania man has turned the tables on parking authorities all across the commonwealth. Chuck Pascal decided to fight a $5 parking ticket he received based on a Pennsylvania law which requires parking meters to be certified as accurate every three years by the state's Bureau of Weights and Measures.

He won and now parking authorities all across the state have suspended writing parking tickets and are losing thousands of dollars a day pending certification of their own meters.

Godspeed Giovanni Paolo II

I'm not Catholic. However, several times since the death Pope John Paul II, I've had waves of sadness wash over me. For a couple of days I've struggled to articulate why I felt this way. Finally, this morning as I watched the funeral ceremony, I had an epiphany. Pope John Paul II was simply an outstanding force for good in the world. Regardless of you religious orientation, we are all just a little worse off now that he is not in this world.
